The final 3 days of Dress-tivus, your favorite celebration of dresses to help inspire your holiday party outfits! Honestly, I don’t know how anyone is going out on Sunday. It has been so bitterly cold this past week. I came home 2 hours ago and I still can’t get warm! As I write this, I have a fleece shirt under a onesie and a wool blanket over my lap.
However, if you don’t mind the arctic chill and still plan on venturing out for NYE, good for you. I’m loving today’s pick from Jenny Packham. It somehow manages to look both Art Deco and Studio 54 at the same time. That is impressive. Plus the color is gorgeous!
Welcome to my Fantasy Fashion League. There are no points, winners, or losers – just an appreciation of fashion. Speaking of fantasies, one of mine includes time traveling department stores that take me back to the ’50s and ’60s where I can stock up on clothes. I love the tailored, clean lines, and quality fabrics of that era. Nowadays I’m very disappointed by the selection at my go-to stores. Everything looks so disposable, but I digress.
Thanks to Hollywood and the Awards Show circuit, January through March happens to be my favorite time of year. For the past 35 years, Carolina Herrera has been designing for celebrities and First Ladies alike. Her designs evoke the spirit of Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy with her classic yet fun, feminine style. If Carolina would so kindly lend me her clothes, I would wear these pieces every day for the rest of my life.
